Centex Homes
Mr. Kopel has served as an Executive Vice President for Centex in the Southwest region since 2001, focusing specifically on the Texas region since 2006. In his current role as Executive Vice President for the South Texas region, Mr. Kopel oversees operations in Houston, San Antonio, Austin and Killeen.
Mr. Kopel joined Centex Homes in 1987 when Centex acquired the John Crosland Company in Charlotte, N.C. After working as Production Manager for the Northern Virginia Division of Centex Homes from 1988 - 1990, he served for six years in the capacities of Director of Production Development and then Vice President of Management Development, both for Centex Homes’ corporate office in Dallas. Beginning in 1996, Mr. Kopel served as Division President for the L.A./Ventura Division in California. As an Executive Vice President for the Southwest region starting in 2001, his responsibilities covered Texas, Arizona and Las Vegas.
Mr. Kopel holds a B.A. from Davidson College near Charlotte, N.C., and an M.A. from Furman University near Greenville, S.C. |
